About us

C.A.R.E. was founded in October 2006 by Cindy Mininni. She dedicated her life to helping animals in need but sadly passed away in October 2012. Her life's work continues.

Companion Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.) is devoted to the rescue of stray, abandoned, injured, orphaned cats and dogs, with special emphasis on feral cats. Volunteer-run, we are dependent on public donations to fund programs. There is no shelter facility at this time: we run a network of foster homes.

Rescued animals are immediately brought to veterinarians where they are checked and treated for internal and external parasites, treated for any injuries and/or illnesses, vaccinated and spayed or neutered.

Social and healthy animals are placed for adoption.

Sponsors

We are 100% dependant on volunteers and donations from the community as well as corporate donations and grants whenever possible. We have received generous donations from the following foundations, and would like to express our deepest gratitude.
