Thank
you for your interest. Volunteering can be both gratifying
and challenging, and is the backbone of the organization.
With
no shelter facility, we are faced with a number of challenges.
Our most dire need is finding reliable, capable and commited
foster homes for the animals. Fostering can be both
rewarding and challenging: many of the animals who come
our way need socialization and/or special care. We assume
the financial responsibility for the animals, but the home
care and individualized attention becomes the responsibility
of the foster parent: This is a serious commitment. If you
think you would like to offer a needy animal the opportunity
to live with you, please fill out the Foster
Home Questionnaire (Word
Format, requires you to save the completed document
and email it back to us as an attachment).
For
those who do not wish to get involved with the emotional
aspect of rescue work, there are still plenty of things
that can be done to help. None of this happens without funding,
so for if you are interested in helping out with fundraising,
promotions, food donation pickups (vans
and pickup trucks required), making crafts
or making phone calls, or have other ideas about
helping out, please complete the Volunteer
Application
(Word Format, requires you to save the completed
document and email it back to us as an attachment).
This
will give you a better idea about some of the things that
need to get done, and will help us get a more comprehensive
idea about how you would like to get involved.
